We are Riz and Josh, a mother/son business born out of our love for animals, especially dogs.

Walking your dog is as important as loving it, feeding it and giving it somewhere warm and dry to live.

Dogs need to walk. They are programmed to migrate and their daily outings go a large way to satisfying these very basic urges.

We go to all the beautiful dog-friendly places in and around Edinburgh so we have a variety of walks in length and location.
We vary our destinations to keep your dog (and us) stimulated and curious about their surroundings. They will be using all of their senses, keeping them alert and active.
This is vital for their mental as well as physical health.
Many dogs are simply taken on walks and left to amuse themselves. We interact by playing games, tracking and scenting and continually reinforcing important commands They also have time to sniff, play and do doggy things. This all aids socialisation and gives them more confidence.

We have/are taking courses in training, canine first aid and pack behaviour  and will be attending seminars in the near future so we can give you and your pet a service second to none. We are also due to start a course on TTouch and aim to become practitioners.

Lovehounds offer a very personalised service and we pride ourselves in taking special care of all our dogs. Your dogs become one of ours and we do for them exactly what we do for our own, Shiloh and Rhogan.

Although we are happy to allow your dog to be off leash in safe areas, we will only do so with your permission.

We always work with them when they first join us to make sure their recall is good with us, and only then do we let them free run.

Either way they will still interact and will get a good fast run (if they want to) with one of us who is very athletic. (guess which one)

ALL DOGS ARE TRANSPORTED IN SPACIOUS, SECURE CAGES WITHIN A HEATED/VENTILATED MERCEDES VAN.
